Everything you

Need to know

Any questions? We got you.

Tickets & Entry

What is the difference between the 'All-Inclusive Pass' and a 'Race Ticket'?

The All-Inclusive Pass (R249) gives you access to everything: you can join a race (5KM or 8KM) and take part in all other games and activities. A Race Ticket (R180 / R120) only gives you entry to your chosen run (8KM or 5KM) and includes your race pack. You would need to purchase a separate activity pass for other games.

I bought a ticket online but didn't receive it. What should I do?

First, check your spam/junk folder. If you still can't find it, bring your order number and ID to the Ticket Help Desk at the registration tents on event day. We will have a full list of all paid attendees.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else if I can't make it?

Yes. Tickets are transferable. The new attendee just needs to present a copy of the ticket (digital or printed) at the gate. The name on the ticket does not need to match the attendee.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

❌ No. Tickets will not be sold at the gate. All tickets must be purchased online in advance.

On the Day / Event Experience

What time should I arrive?

• Gates open at 06:00.
• If you are participating in the 8KM Power Run, we recommend arriving by 06:15.
• If you are running the 5KM Fun Run, arrive by 07:00.
• For activities only, anytime after 07:30 is great.

Where and when do I collect my race pack?

Race packs can be collected at the Registration Tents on the morning of the event. Collection opens at 06:00 and closes 15 minutes before your race starts. Please bring your ID and ticket for verification.

Is there a bag drop or storage facility?

Yes, a secure bag drop facility will be available at a small cost (e.g., R50 per bag) to support our CSI initiatives. Items are left at owner's risk, so please avoid bringing valuables.

Is the event cashless?

Yes. This is primarily a cashless event. Most food, drink, and merchandise vendors will accept cards and digital payments (SnapScan, Zapper, etc.). Limited vendors may accept cash, but please plan ahead.

Is the venue accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes. Ruimsig Stadium has accessible parking, toilets, and pathways. If you have specific needs, please email us at comms@nativechild.co so we can make arrangements in advance.

Participation & Activities

Is there an age limit for the Obstacle Course, Bubble Soccer, etc.?

Most activities are family-friendly. Specific age or height restrictions will be clearly signposted at each activity zone. For example, Bubble Soccer may have a minimum height requirement for safety.

Do I need to be super fit to participate?

Not at all! The Power Up Games is for everyone. You can compete seriously in the 8KM run or simply enjoy the fun runs, games, and challenges at your own pace. It's about participation and joy.

What should I wear and bring?

• Wear comfortable sports clothing and trainers (no sandals, spikes, or cleats).
• Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle (empty is fine).
• Don't forget your ticket and ID.
• Bring card for food and vendors.

Do I need to book activities in advance?

No. All games, track runs, and challenges are on a first come, first served queue system. Simply join the line for the activity you want.

Family & Children

Are there activities specifically for young children?

Absolutely! The Backyard Legends Zone is designed for kids, with games like sack races and egg-and-spoon.

Can children join the races?

Yes. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult in all runs.

Safety & Security

What about safety?

Your safety is our priority. Medical staff, marshals, and security will be on-site all day. For everyone's protection, no alcohol, weapons, sharp objects, fireworks, drones, glass bottles, or dangerous items are permitted. No cooler boxes or outside fast food.

What are your health protocols?

The event will follow all current government health & safety regulations. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.

What is your lost child procedure?

Please ensure your child has your name and phone number on them. If you become separated, alert any security guard or marshal immediately. The Information Tent will serve as the lost children point. All staff are trained to assist.

Choose Your Route
